At Capitol East in Washington DC, we installed frameless stair railings using stainless standoffs and wood cap rails, along with glass guards around a rooftop terrace with a view of the Capitol. Every panel was set level and plumb in the field, and the rooftop guards keep residents safe while leaving the skyline in full view.

The challenge

Commercial work means balancing design goals with compressed timelines, many trades sharing the site and very tight field tolerances.

Our solution

Every guard and railing panel was installed level and plumb with code-rated fittings, keeping people safe without cutting off light or views. From start to finish we worked hand in hand with the general contractor and the owner, kept the work area clean and safe, and protected completed finishes until handover.

The result
