Acoustic & Soundproof Glass

Acoustic Glass for Quieter Offices, Hotels and Clinics

Traffic, aircraft and city noise travel easily through ordinary glass. Acoustic glazing uses laminated glass with sound-damping interlayers, asymmetric glass thicknesses and insulated air spaces to cut noise dramatically. CBE Glass installs acoustic glass in offices, hotels, healthcare facilities and residences near busy roads in the DC area.

Acoustic glazing solutions

• Laminated glass with acoustic PVB interlayers
• Insulated units with dissimilar glass thicknesses
• Interior partitions with high STC ratings
• Secondary glazing behind existing windows
• Acoustic seals for glass doors and partitions
• Recording, conference and telemedicine rooms

Measured in STC and OITC

Sound performance is rated by STC for interior speech and OITC for exterior traffic noise. We recommend glass build-ups that reach your target rating and pay equal attention to seals and framing, because sound leaks through gaps faster than through glass.

Confidential conversations

Glass meeting rooms are only useful if conversations stay private. Acoustic partitions with sealed doors keep speech inside while preserving the open, bright feel of a glass office.
