General
What areas do you serve?
Washington DC; Montgomery, Prince George's, Howard, Charles and Anne Arundel counties in Maryland; and Northern Virginia, including Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Tysons, Reston, Herndon, Loudoun and Prince William counties.
Do you work on residential projects?
We focus on commercial, institutional and multifamily buildings. For multifamily projects we handle storefronts, railings, shower enclosures and common areas.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry the licenses and insurance required for commercial glazing work in DC, Maryland and Virginia and provide certificates on request.
Estimates
Are estimates free?
Yes. Send photos, measurements or drawings and we will prepare a free, itemized estimate.
How fast will I receive a quote?
Simple repairs are often priced the same day. Larger projects with drawings usually take a few business days depending on scope.
What information do you need for a quote?
The address, photos of the opening or damage, approximate sizes or drawings, and your schedule.
Emergency
Do you offer 24/7 emergency service?
Yes. Call (202) 492-0676 any time and we will dispatch a crew to board up or secure broken glass.
Will my insurance cover broken storefront glass?
Many commercial policies do. We provide photos and itemized invoices to support your claim.
Products
Which glass is best for a storefront door?
Tempered safety glass is standard; laminated glass adds security. All-glass doors typically use 1/2" tempered glass.
What is the difference between storefront and curtain wall?
Storefront is a lighter system set within an opening, usually one story. Curtain wall hangs from the structure, can span several floors and handles higher loads.
Why are my windows foggy between the panes?
The seal of the insulated glass unit has failed. Replacing the unit restores clear views and insulation, usually without replacing the frame.
Can you match my existing glass or framing?
In most cases yes. We identify the original products and compare samples before ordering.
Projects
Do you work as a subcontractor for general contractors?
Yes. We bid from drawings, provide shop drawings and submittals, and install on new construction and renovation projects.
Can you work after hours or in occupied buildings?
Yes. Night, weekend and phased work are common for malls, offices and healthcare facilities.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Our installations are covered by a workmanship warranty, in addition to the manufacturers' product warranties.
