Bethloft Custom Octagonal Skylight

Bethloft needed a one-of-a-kind octagonal glass skylight. Working from detailed shop drawings, CBE Glass fabricated the frame and glass to exact angles, then set and sealed the unit on the roof. The finished skylight is fully watertight and pours daylight into the room below, a good illustration of what our team can do with custom overhead glazing.

The challenge

Commercial work means balancing design goals with compressed timelines, many trades sharing the site and very tight field tolerances.

Our solution

Following the approved shop drawings, we built and installed the overhead glazing with laminated safety glass and detailed flashing to keep water out. From start to finish we worked hand in hand with the general contractor and the owner, kept the work area clean and safe, and protected completed finishes until handover.

The result

The owner now has a bright, modern space with glazing that performs well, looks sharp and is supported by a local glass contractor who answers the phone.
