At an INOVA hospital in Northern Virginia, we clad columns in stainless steel, installed metal panels and set glass stair guards in the main public spaces. Work in an active hospital required careful scheduling, dust control and protected walkways for patients and visitors.

The challenge

Healthcare buildings stay busy around the clock. Glazing work has to protect patients and staff, respect infection-control barriers and keep corridors and entrances usable while crews are on site.

Our solution

Every guard and railing panel was installed level and plumb with code-rated fittings, keeping people safe without cutting off light or views. All interior glass was field-measured and set with consistent reveals, tempered safety glass and quality door hardware for a seamless look. From start to finish we worked hand in hand with the general contractor and the owner, kept the work area clean and safe, and protected completed finishes until handover.

The result
